Brian DeCost wins NRC Postdoctoral fellowship

Brian DeCost, currently a postdoctoral associate working with Prof. Elizabeth Holm, has been awarded a National Research Councils (NRC) Postdoctoral Associateship to perform research at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Dr. DeCost’s work involves the application of computer vision and machine learning techniques to problems in Materials Science and Additive Manufacturing. At NIST, Dr. DeCost will work with CMU alum Dr. A. Gilad Kusne.
